Brown began her credit union career in 1978 as Manager of Western Kentucky University Credit Union. Since then, the renamed Service One Credit Union has grown from $400,000 in assets to four branch offices and $100 million in assets.

Brown received her BS and M.A. from Western Kentucky University. Active in community work, Brown graduated from Leadership Kentucky in 1995, remains active in Kiwanis after serving as President of the Bowling Green club in 1994, serves on the Design & Review Committee of the downtown TIF district, and is a member of the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce. Brown serves on the Investment Committee of the Western Kentucky University Foundation. Past community involvement includes serving on boards of the Friends of Lost River Cave, Big Brothers and Sisters, WKU Research Foundation, Advisory Council of WKU Community College, Kentuckiana Girl Scout Board, Landmark Association, B.G. Green and Business & Professional Women.

Professionally, Brown has served on state and national credit union boards as Chair of the Educational Credit Union Council and Kentucky Credit Union League Services Corp.; Vice-Chair of NASCUS and the Kentucky Credit Union League and on various committees of the Credit Union National Association. She serves currently on the League’s Governmental Affairs Committee for State Legislation and Regulation. She is a member of the Credit Union Executive Society and a supporter of the World Council of Credit Unions, Inc.
