Each year, we invite our members to an Annual Meeting to reflect on the previous year's successes and events, hear from our CEO, Chairman of the Board, Secretary/Treasurer, and Chairman of the Supervisory Committee.

This year, however, is a little bit different. To keep our members safe, we will stream our Annual Meeting on August 27, 2020 beginning at 6:00 pm CST.

2020 Board of Directors Election

As a Service One Credit Union member/owner, you have a voice in who serves on your volunteer Board of Directors. Board members provide strategic direction, approve policies, and ensure the financial soundness of the Credit Union. This year the Board has three open positions. We encourage you to read the biographies below of the nominees and vote. All primary account holders over the age of 16 with an account in good standing are eligible to vote.

Introducing Your 2020 Candidates

Ann Mead Board of Directors

Dr. Little joined the credit union in 2001 and was appointed by the Board to the Supervisory Committee in 2005, then elected to the Board of Directors in 2011. He recently retired from Western Kentucky University where he specialized in financial and managerial accounting. Dr. Little holds five professional certifications: CPA, CIA, CMA, CGMA, and the Certificate in International Financial Reporting Standards. Dr. Little has extensive experience in public and private accounting and internal auditing. He worked in public accounting with Arthur Andersen & Co., where he participated in audits of a regulated industry, banking, pharmaceutical, and manufacturing companies. 

Dr. Little has led internal audits of Aluminum Company of America (ALCOA) locations in Japan, Suriname (SA), and was an Accounting Manager for one of ALCOA's fabrication plants in California. He was the Controller of Stoody Company. He currently serves on Boards of Directors of the Kentucky Society of Certified Public Accountants, South Central Kentucky Minority Economic Development Corporation, Bowling Green-Warren County Regional Airport, and Service One Credit Union.

Dr. McCaslin joined the credit union in 1999 and was appointed to the Supervisory Committee in 2011. He was elected to the Board of Directors in 2018. Dr. McCaslin was recently appointed as Provost at Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC). With 20 years of experience in post-secondary education, McCaslin previously served as the SKYCTC Vice President of Outreach and Community Development, providing senior leadership to the college’s Franklin-Simpson Center, Workforce Solutions, Dual Credit, SKY FAME, and Skills U (Adult Education) programming. Before joining SKYCTC, McCaslin was the Assistant Director of Western Kentucky University’s campus in Glasgow.

Dr. McCaslin is actively involved in community outreach through United Way of Southern Kentucky and serves on the boards for the Franklin-Simpson Chamber of Commerce and the South Central Workforce Development Board. He is married to Dr. Sara B. McCaslin, a Western Kentucky University faculty member.

Ms. Mead joined the Credit Union in 1995 and was appointed to the Board of Directors in 2019. She recently retired from Western Kentucky University where she finished her higher education career as Senior Vice President for Finance and Administration and Treasurer of the Board of Regents. She oversaw an operating budget of approximately $388 million. Over 25 years at WKU, she served in numerous roles including Chief Financial Officer, Assistant to the President for Economic Development, and Interim Vice President for Institutional Advancement.

Ms. Mead has been actively engaged as a board member on entities including SPE II (Special Purpose Entity of the TIF District), LifeWorks at WKU, Central Region Innovation and Commercialization Center, and Bowling Area Chamber of Commerce.
