Local partnership brings Taste of Bowling Green to support local children
Join us for a night of making dreams come true at one of Bowling Green's largest events! Service One Credit Union is the title sponsor for the Taste of Bowling Green, an annual event to raise funds for Bowling Green's Dream Factory charity.
Kellie McKay from 103.7 Nash Icon will be the Master of Ceremonies, leading a full night of all-you-can eat and drink fun. Sample a variety of food, share drinks with friends, and dance the night away with Bowling Green favorite band Tyrone Dunn and Kin-Foke. The best vendors and restaurants in Bowling Green and surrounding areas will present signature dishes and new items, don't miss out! Also, enjoy a Silent Auction, Door Prize Drawings throughout the evening, and a photo booth.
This event is on Thursday, March 30, 2017, at the Sloan Convention Center. Doors open at 7:00 PM. Silent Auction is from 7:00 PM - 8:45 PM.
Tickets can be purchased in advance at a discounted price at any Service One Credit Union location, from any Dream Factory Board Member, The Balloon-a-Gram Company, or select Chuck's Liquor Outlets (ONLY Three Springs Road and Louisville Road). Tickets are $40 per person if purchased in advance, and $45 per person at the door. At the event, you will receive an etched wine glass as a souvenir with your ticket.
Partnering to Make Dreams Come True
Not only is this a night of fun for all, but attendance supports the Bowling Green's Dream Factory. The Dream Factory is an all-volunteer charity that offers dreams to children that are critically or chronically ill. The Dream Factory is the only children’s wish-granting organization that does not limit its mission to children who have life-threatening illness. The charity believes children with chronic illnesses and disorders also suffer from substantial emotional and physical pain.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Bowling Green Dream Factory chapter granting wishes! The organization has granted 190 dreams, ranging from trips to Disney World to meeting celebrities. Other dreams include sending kids to professional sporting events, installing their own batting cage, shopping sprees and other special requests.
The organization strives to provide hope and relief from the trauma and corresponding stress and depression that both the children and their families can endure on a day-to-day basis. Doctors agree that providing a dream can improve the quality of life for these children and extend the life of a critically ill child. Service One is proud to support this amazing local organization.
