Fraud Alert: Phishing Calls
Fraud Alert: Phishing Calls and Text Messages Are Circulating in the Area.
Service One has received reports of fraudulent, phishing calls circulating in the area. Fraudsters are calling consumers purporting to represent their financial institution. The fraudster will tell the consumer the institution has detected “fraudulent” activity on his/her account. After confirming the “fraudulent” activity is not authorized, the fraudster will ask the consumer to provide the CVV (the three-digit code on the back of the cards) or other information needed to conduct a transaction. Although Service One will contact you when we see potentially unauthorized transactions, we will NEVER ask you for sensitive personal, card, or account information when we contact you by phone, email, or text message! If you receive a telephone call, email, or text message asking for personal identification or account information from anyone who purports to be from Service One, consider the request to be fraudulent and do not provide any information.
If you receive a message that you believe is fraudulent, please notify us immediately at (800)759-8500.
