Who is eligible to open a Young Savers Account?

The account is open to all children and teens aged 17 and under. To get started, all you need is the child's birth certificate and social security card.

Is there a fee or minimum balance required to earn dividends?

There are no monthly maintenance fees. Accounts automatically begin earning dividends on balances of $0.01 or more.

How do we get the free Super Saver Kit?

Simply open a new Young Savers Account between July 1 and September 30 and fund it with at least $5 to start earning dividends! The superhero kit will be handed directly to your child at the branch while supplies last.

What do I need to open an account for my child?

To open any Youth Account, all you need is your child's birth certificate and social security card.

How does the Dollars for Grades program work?

Students in grades K–12 can bring a copy of their most recent report card into any Service One branch at the end of a grading period. We pay $5 for each "A" (or equivalent top-tier grade) in core subjects like Math, Science, English, and Social Studies, up to $50 per student, per school year. The funds are deposited directly into their Young Savers account!

What are the in-branch deposit rewards?

To help build consistent savings habits, young savers get to pick out a special, tangible novelty prize from our branch treasure box every time they stop by to make a deposit.


*APY=Annual Percentage Yield. The Super Saver Kit promotion runs from July 15, 2026, through October 15, 2026. To qualify for a free Super Saver Kit, a new Young Savers Account must be opened and funded with a minimum initial deposit of $5.00. Limit one (1) kit per new account member. Super Saver Kits are available for in-branch openings only and are distributed strictly while supplies last; items inside the kit are subject to change based on availability. Young Savers accounts earn dividends on daily balances of $0.01 or more. Rates are variable and subject to change after the account is opened. The Dollars for Grades program is open to K–12 student members. A maximum reward of $50.00 may be earned per student, per school year, based on top-tier grades in core academic subjects submitted in-branch by a parent or legal guardian. Zogo rewards are administered by Zogo Inc. and are subject to the app's terms and conditions. Service One Credit Union is federally insured by the NCUA.

Back-to-School Loan: +Annual Percentage Rate (APR) as low as 7.90% is available for an 11-month term on loan amounts up to $5,000. Rate is based on creditworthiness and underwriting factors; not all applicants will qualify for the lowest rate. Offer valid through August 31, 2026. All loans are subject to credit approval.
