A native of Knoxville, Tennessee, Karen Kidwell’s creative spirit began early in life. She graduated from Halls High School in 1977, where she majored in Art and Distributive Education (Marketing), planting the seeds of her artistic journey.
Her passion for creativity continued beyond high school, as she spent nine years taking part-time art and graphic design courses at Pellissippi Community College. Though she never completed the full curriculum, her commitment to art remained steady in the background as life carried her in different directions.
We’re thrilled to spotlight local artist Jenn Stephens as our featured artist for November and December! Jenn, a 2003 graduate of Western Kentucky University, has spent over 20 years honing her craft as a Creative Director while nurturing a passionate fine art practice on the side. Her artwork has been showcased in several local exhibitions, including the US Bank Annual Art Show and an alumni exhibit at WKU’s Fine Arts Center.
If you love supporting local artists, Service One Credit Union's Bypass Branch has the beautiful artwork of Lisa Reese for September 2024! Lisa has been creating for the past 10 years, and her unique, soulful pieces are currently on display in our Community Meeting Room.
